Dr. Jon Lensing, MD
Jon, a native of rural Iowa, attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before returning back to his midwest roots to go to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine for medical school. During his time in graduate school, Jon came to have a passion for rural healthcare and their access to medical services. When COVID-19 struck, he saw the massive impact and strain that the pandemic would place on the healthcare system. He quickly then refocused his efforts to help alleviate the burden on hospitals and healthcare facilities everywhere.
Christian attended The University of Missouri where he studied mechanical engineering & played linebacker for the Mizzou football team. After graduation, Christian spent three years at Anheuser-Busch where he became the Director of IT Customer Success. Knowing he always had a passion for healthcare, Christian turned his attention to solving the problems in the delivery of medical services. With the rise in coronavirus, Christian knew his technical skills could be used to assist healthcare providers in finding areas that were hardest hit.
Dr. Matt Grossmann, MD

Matt spent his childhood in northwest Iowa and graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania after which he decided to return to Iowa to pursue his medical degree at Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. Spending the vast majority of his life surrounded by rural medicine has allowed him to have first-hand knowledge of the problems and pitfalls plaguing not only the medical field in general but rural communities as well. He is excited to use his time and energy to help give back to the area he calls home.
Originally from Traverse City, Michigan, Curtis attended Indiana Tech University and Lawrence Tech University, where he studied Computer Science and Mathematics. Following his years at university, he’s contributed to the growth and success of startups across several sectors including Healthcare, Finance, Blockchain / Cryptocurrency, and Cloud Computing. Having spent time in both engineering and consulting roles, he’s had the opportunity to create solutions for a diverse array of issues. Now based in Nashville, Tennessee, he’s excited to introduce creative tech solutions that will enable tremendous improvements to healthcare providers across the country.
Dr. Clay Walker, MD
Head of Product Development
Dr. Walker, originally from Iowa City, attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa before returning to Iowa City for medical school. He is now currently a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation resident at the University of Pennsylvania. While in medical school, he helped found the Healthcare Delivery Science, Management, and Policy distinction track at the Carver College of Medicine. It was through this process that he discovered how incorporating technology into medicine can improve the accessibly and quality of care delivered to rural populations. He is excited to use this knowledge to raise healthcare standards across his home state of Iowa and to #CombatCorona.
Dr. Ali R. Abtahi, DO MS
VP of Provider Recruitment
Dr. Abtahi was born and raised in a small town in southern Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he obtained his B.S. in Biology in addition to earning his commission as a Second Lieutenant through the Air Force ROTC program. Dr Abtahi served as the head of Manpower and Personnel during his 4 years of active duty service before honorably discharging to pursue his dream of becoming a surgeon. He earned an M.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Missouri-St Louis before completing medical school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr Abtahi arrived at the University of Iowa in 2018 after fulfilling a 6-year General Surgery residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He currently serves as the Chief Surgical Fellow for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
