About the
Role
OpenLoop is seeking an experienced and creative
Marketing Web Developer to turn our brand vision and testing
hypotheses into high-performing web experiences across multiple brands.
This position will work closely with our design and marketing team, supporting a
variety of exciting projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience
designing user-friendly, interactive features, coupled with a strong emphasis on
optimizing website performance.

- This is a hybrid role. It will
require working onsite at our Des Moines office 3 days a week: Tuesdays,
Wednesday and Thursdays.
- This is not a traditional
software developer role -- we are seeking a WEB developer, to support our
marketing team with creative web development skills, familiar with the marketing
mindset of building and optimizing websites to support marketing
efforts.
- Ideal applicants will have web development
experience specifically in creating and optimizing website content i.e.
including landing pages, and various templates, to drive Marketing strategies,
towards engagement and conversions.
What You’ll
Do:
Duties will include, but not be
limited to
- Own the development of our website and
landing pages, to support marketing goals.
- Manage 3rd
party agencies for additional development support when required.
- Partner with our web design team to translate brand vision and user
experience insights into high-performing code.
- Work closely with our SEO team to build and maintain world-class
technical SEO and site speed standards.
- Use SEO data
(i.e. conversion rate optimization analytics) to quickly deploy experiments to
drive higher conversion and expedite our growth.
- Create HTML for marketing emails within HubSpot
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
- 7+ years of web development
experience, with at least 5 years experience in Wordpress.
- A deep
understanding of technical SEO, such as site speed, crawler-friendly site
architecture, and structured data.
- Experience with high volume,
transactional eComm design.
- Experience
collaborating with marketing teams to create website content in partnership with
design teams.
- Troubleshoot bugs, and other performance
development-related questions, in order to avoid any down-time for client pages
and user traffic.
- Experience using LLM tools such as Claude to
expedite development cycles.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and
potentially other languages like PHP, Python, or Ruby, that support quality web
development.
- Understand the correlation of
strong web development in relation to marketing concepts, tactics and
strategies
- Possess strong communication skills with the ability to interface
with numerous stakeholders (a strong ability to articulate thoughts and feedback
clearly is a must).
- Technical web expert on critical marketing
projects for the company in our rapid stage of growth.
- Ability to
work independently and be comfortable “creating the path” rather than walking
it, offering ideas, solutions, and processes to create best
practices.
- While not required, the following experience is a plus:
- Experience
working in a startup or fast-growing organization.
- Experience
with designing landing pages and emails within HubSpot.
- Experience
with executing conversion rate optimization experiments.
- Knowledge of
the healthcare industry and related marketing strategies.
