About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and
experienced Director of Workforce Management (Medical Operations) to oversee and
optimize the staffing and day to day operations for over 1,000 healthcare
providers, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. This
key leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of day to day
workforce planning and performance metrics, that will contribute to an excellent
patient experience and a positive, and efficient environment for our
teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
healthcare workforce management, experience overseeing large teams of medical
professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and aligning
staffing needs across teams
What You’ll
Do:
Responsibilities include but are not limited
to:
- Leadership & Workforce Management
- Lead and support the Medical Operations function in a
Leadership role, overseeing teams responsible for the staffing and operations of
over 1,000 fractional healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and
other medical providers.The Workforce
Management part of this role, is dedicated to day to day medical operations, and
workflows, ensuring the efficient planning and utilization of staff, processes,
and resources to meet organizational needs
- Recruitment
- Develop and monitor staffing strategies to ensure
teams are fully staffed, in addition to continuous collaboration with HR /
Clinical leaders to support the hiring process, ensuring teams are fully staffed
and care is not impacted by staffing shortages.
- Scheduling
& Staffing Optimization
- Lead and streamline scheduling and time tracking
operations to ensure appropriate staffing levels for healthcare services,
optimizing provider availability and minimizing gaps in
coverage.
- Ideal candidates will have experience with
efficient scheduling of 1099 medical providers, maximizing coverage, especially
during peak time, keeping an eye on time tracking to avoid burnout and ensure
consistent staffing rotations.
- Onboarding
& Training of Clinical Staff
- Support the
onboarding process of new healthcare providers, ensuring a smooth transition
into the organization. Facilitate initial training and orientation programs to
integrate staff into the workforce effectively.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate
and communicate with clinical leadership, operations, and HR teams to align
workforce strategies with organizational goals. departments.
- Data-Driven Decisions & Reporting
- Identify trends, and optimize
staffing efficiency, through data
- Leverage WFM technology, to report out key
operational metrics
- Develop and execute short and long term
strategies.
- Closely monitor patient satisfaction and provider rating
scores (i.e. patient wait times, patient scheduling workflows and other
operations processes that directly impact the patient experience).
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field / a
Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare
clinical / medical operations
- Specific experience managing
high volume staffing and workforce processes for medical providers, especially
1099 providers is required
- Strong experience with a
workforce management technology
- Experience with efficient workforce scheduling and
staffing processes
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills,
towards building trust
- Excellent organizational and multitasking ability,
to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and collaboration
skills.
- Confident ability to work with and coach medical providers on
patient satisfaction issues
- Ability to navigate medical regulatory
environments and ensure compliance.
Salary: $ 120K - $ 150K / Base + Annual Bonus
