About the Role
OpenLoop is looking for
an IT Systems Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be
responsible for managing and optimizing internal IT systems with a focus on
identity and access management (IAM), endpoint management, and end-user support.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Okta, macOS
and Windows MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune), and has thrived in the dynamic
environment of a health-tech startup.
What You'll Do
- Own and maintain the
company's Okta infrastructure, including SSO, MFA, lifecycle
management, and application integrations.
- Manage MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune, or
Kandji) for macOS and Windows devices, ensuring device compliance, security, and
performance.
- Automate IT processes
and workflows to support employee onboarding, offboarding, and access
provisioning.
- Collaborate
cross-functionally with Security, HR, and Engineering to ensure secure and
compliant system configurations.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for IT-related issues and incidents.
- Lead technical
initiatives such as system upgrades, access reviews, and device lifecycle
management.
- Participate in audits
and compliance efforts (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.) by providing system documentation
and evidence.
- Support SaaS
administration (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, etc.) and assist with license
management and integrations.
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related
field, and at least one (1) year of relevant professional experience; OR an
equivalent combination of education and experience that equips you to fulfill
the responsibilities of this role.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Okta, including SAML/OIDC
integration, policies, and workflows.
- 3+ years of experience with macOS and Windows MDM platforms (Jamf,
Intune, or similar).
- Proven success working in a health-tech startup or regulated
healthcare environment with HIPAA/SOC 2 compliance exposure.
- Proficiency with
scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Experience managing
SaaS tools in a cloud-first environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, customer service
mindset, and ability to work independently.
- Experience with ITIL practices or ticketing systems
like Jira or Zoho.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and endpoint compliance
monitoring.
- Familiarity with Google
Workspace administration.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles.
