About The Role
OpenLoop is looking for
a Head of Recruiting Operations to join our team remotely or at
HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the
recruiting function runs efficiently and effectively as we continue to scale.
This role blends individual contribution — managing systems, analytics, and
process improvements — with team leadership, coaching a small group of
coordinators or recruiting operations specialists.
You’ll own the
operational foundation of Talent Acquisition — from systems and workflows to
data, reporting, and compliance — while driving initiatives that enhance
recruiter capacity, hiring velocity, and candidate experience.

What
You’ll Do:
- Lead and develop a small recruiting
operations team, providing mentorship, guidance, and clear performance
goals.
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable recruiting
processes and workflows across the organization.
- Own
and manage the ATS, Greenhouse, ensuring proper configuration, automation, and
data integrity.
- Create and maintain dashboards that track funnel
metrics, recruiter capacity, time-to-fill, and hiring quality.
- Partner with Recruiting and People leaders to forecast hiring needs and
develop capacity plans to meet demand.
- Conduct regular operational
audits to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across
systems.
- Streamline coordination, scheduling, and interview
processes to improve candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Legal to align on
headcount planning, compensation, and policy updates.
- Support enablement — training recruiters and hiring managers on systems,
interview best practices, and operational updates.
- Identify and implement new tools or integrations that enhance recruiter
performance and data visibility.
- Manage vendor relationships
across recruiting platforms and sourcing technologies.
- Provide regular data-driven insights and recommendations to Talent
leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Other duties as
assigned.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business,
HR, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in
Talent Acquisition or Recruiting Operations, with at least 2 years in a
leadership or mentorship capacity.
- Proven success managing or
scaling recruiting operations in a fast-paced, high-growth company.
- Strong command of ATS management (Greenhouse is strongly
preferred).
- Proficiency in building and interpreting recruiting
analytics dashboards (Google Sheets, Excel, Looker, Tableau, etc.).
- Ability to forecast and model recruiting capacity based on hiring demand
and recruiter load.
- Excellent communication skills with the
ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Process-oriented, detail-driven, and naturally curious — with a knack for
problem-solving and continuous improvement.
