About the Role

OpenLoop is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team remotely or at HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for leading custom packaging for our ship-to-home medication program supporting clients in a variety of different verticals. You’ll be the go-to person connecting the dots between our pharmacies, suppliers, and internal teams — making sure products are packaged, shipped, and forecasted right every time.

This is an individual contributor manager role — perfect for someone who’s rolled up their sleeves before, worked directly with suppliers, and can take an idea, build the process, and make it run smoothly without a ton of structure.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with suppliers, pharmacies, and internal teams to launch and scale custom packaging for our ship-to-home medications.
• Forecast supply needs across SKUs, ensuring the right products are available without overstocking.
• Lead the rollout of custom packaging — from materials and design to logistics and compliance.
• Partner cross-functionally (Pharmacy, Ops, Product, Finance) to align packaging timelines, quality, and cost goals.
• Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and day-to-day communications to keep everything running on track.
• Analyze supply and usage trends — even when data is limited — to improve forecasting accuracy.
• Identify and fix process gaps; build scalable systems that make the operation more efficient.
• Bring creative problem-solving to packaging and fulfillment challenges as we grow.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with suppliers or managing supply chain operations — healthcare, pharmacy, or consumer packaging experience is a plus.
• You’ve done this before — built relationships with suppliers, forecasted inventory, and managed packaging projects end-to-end.
• Strong technical aptitude for navigating multiple systems and tools.
• Comfortable working with limited data and building processes as you go.
• Organized, resourceful, and ready to take ownership.
• Great communicator who works well with internal and external partners.
• Thrive in a high-growth, ambiguous environment — you like creating structure where it doesn’t yet exist.
