San Jose, CA

About OpenLoop

OpenLoop was co-founded by CEO, Dr. Jon Lensing, and COO, Christian Williams, with the vision to bring healing anywhere. Our tele-health support solutions are thoughtfully designed to streamline and simplify go-to-market care delivery for companies offering meaningful virtual support to patients across an expansive array of specialties, in all 50 states.

Our Company Culture

We have a relatively flat organizational structure here at OpenLoop. Everyone is encouraged to bring ideas to the table and make things happen. This fits in well with our core values of Autonomy, Competence and Belonging, as we want everyone to feel empowered and supported to do their best work.

About the Role

OpenLoop is looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer to join our team remotely or at HQ in Des Moines, IA. This role sits within Hey Revia, the AI workflow automation platform recently acquired by OpenLoop. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating Hey Revia’s advanced AI platform into real-world healthcare environments, working directly with partners to deploy voice, messaging, and clinical workflow solutions that deliver value from day one. Your work ensures our AI Care Engine can seamlessly connect to clinical systems, telephony infrastructure, and patient engagement tools across OpenLoop’s nationwide partner network.

What You'll Do

  • Lead technical deployments by architecting and executing integrations for new healthcare partners, customizing Hey Revia’s platform to their workflows and legacy systems
  • Build the “last mile” of connectivity by designing secure, reliable data pipelines that ingest and synchronize clinical data with our AI services
  • Configure and optimize communication infrastructure, including voice and messaging channels, across diverse telephony networks to support patient and care team engagement
  • Work across the stack (APIs → databases → infrastructure) to deliver production-ready solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and clinical teams to translate partner needs into crisp technical execution
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of engineering experience shipping production-grade software in modern cloud environments, with comfort moving across APIs, databases, and infrastructure layers
  • Deep experience integrating disparate systems, including data ingestion, API interoperability, and third-party systems integration
  • Curiosity or hands-on experience with LLMs and operationalizing AI models in production workflows
  • Strong understanding of data security and compliance best practices; experience handling sensitive data in regulated environments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate ambiguous partner needs into clear technical requirements

Our Benefits

In addition, for salaried positions you would also be eligible for:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision plans
  • Flexible Spending/Health Savings Accounts
  • Flexible PTO
  • 401(k) + Company Match
  • Life Insurance, Pet insurance, and more

Sound like a good fit? We’d love to meet you.
