UX Product Designer

About The Role

OpenLoop is looking for an experienced UX Product Designer to join our team. This role will be a member of the Product Team and will be responsible for designing and enhancing user experiences within our suite of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing for healthcare professionals, patients, and internal operational teams, with expertise in tools like Figma, Canva, and Illustrator. This role will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality user experiences that meet the needs of both healthcare professionals and patients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Directly impact the user experience, by leading the end-to-end design process from ideation to implementation, creating seamless user workflows across our web applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to transform business and user requirements into intuitive, engaging designs.
  • Communicate frequently with various internal teams (clinical, and operations) to gather insights, identify pain points, and develop design solutions that balance user needs with business objectives.
  • Create user interfaces and experiences with a focus on healthcare, dedicated to the user experience of both professionals and patients, including doctors, nurse practitioners, and health concierge teams, optimizing our solutions for patient interactions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using innovative tools such as Figma, Linear, Canva, and Illustrator.
  • Lead usability testing and user research to validate designs and make improvements based on feedback.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive design system to ensure consistency across all platforms and products.
  • Other duties as assigned

Who You Are:

  • Bachelors degree professional with industry experience in a similar field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in UX design focused on healthcare user experiences (i.e. nurse practitioners, doctors, and/or patients)
  • Highly proficient use of Figma, Illustrator, and Canva 
    • Knowledge of Linear is a plus, and V0 is a plus / not required
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows and patient care environments, and realizing how technology enhances these processes for the user.
  • Experience with clinical applications, patient portals, and healthcare products 
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and ability to champion user needs while meeting business objectives.
  • Strong communicator across teams, with proven ability to work effectively with product managers, engineers, and operations.
  • Proven ability to be proactive and solve complex design challenges, especially in critical healthcare environments.
