About The Role
OpenLoop is looking for a Business
Process Specialist to join our team remotely or at our headquarters in Des
Moines, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing,
documenting, and improving workflows across our virtual care ecosystem. This
role will be instrumental in identifying bottlenecks in patient workflows,
monitoring queues, and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and patient
satisfaction. While experience with AI-driven process automation is a plus, it
is not required.
What You’ll Do:
Process Analysis & Improvement
- Analyze and
document end-to-end workflows for patient journeys, provider interactions, and
operational processes.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies where patients
get stuck in workflows, proposing solutions to enhance user
experience.
- Develop and maintain process maps, identifying opportunities for
automation and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations,
product, engineering, and customer success) to implement data-driven process
improvements.
Queue
Monitoring & Problem-Solving
- Proactively monitor patient and provider
queues to identify delays and inefficiencies in real time.
- Investigate root causes
of workflow disruptions and develop rapid solutions.
- Provide ongoing
performance analysis, leveraging operational metrics to optimize patient flow
and reduce friction points.
Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Prepare and manage
project estimates, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for process
improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align
process improvements with business objectives and operational
needs.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership, supporting strategic
decision-making with data-backed insights.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technology & AI Integration (Nice to
Have)
- Identify opportunities where AI-driven automation can enhance workflows
and rescue manual intervention.
- Work with product and engineering teams to explore AI -
powered solutions for process optimization.
Who You Are:
- 1 -3+ years of experience in process analysis, process
improvement, or business operations - preferably in digital health, healthcare
operations, or telehealth.
- Strong experience with process mapping tools (e.g.,
Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or BPMN Software).
- Proficiency in data analysis to track
workflow performance and identify trends.
- Experience working in
healthcare, telehealth, or virtual care is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with queue
monitoring, workflow optimization, and patient experience
enhancement.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication
skills.
