About The
Role
OpenLoop is looking
for a Pharmacy Operations Specialist to join our team
remotely -or- at HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will be
responsible for identifying bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, and
implementing technology-driven solutions to enhance our pharmacy operations.
This role sits at the intersection of operations, technology, and process
improvement, ensuring seamless medication management, improved queue management,
and scalable workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee end-to-end prescription
operations, to include but not limited to RX fulfillment to ensure accuracy,
efficiency, and service consistency.
- support RX operations for new serice lines
or new RX that is enteirng our RX offerings, test and build out new RX orders
for our medical providers (new formulary / substance)
- know and understand the
workflow of all RX logistics of medication requirements, compliance and clinical
protocols
- pharmacy pricing, support / maintain the ordering system
- will work with 3rd party
pharmacy partners (pharmacy technician experience is a plus)
- partner with clinical
leadership, customer success and implementation teams
- Manage daily
communication with pharmacy partners and internal teams to address operational
needs.
- Act as the primary escalation point for internal stakeholders regarding
fulfillment issues.
- Track operational SLA performance, ensuring compliance
and highlighting areas for improvement
- Manage, report out and communicate delays,
or service issues, such as billing, shipments, fulfillment turnaround
time, RX inventory levels, in addition to other performance
metrics.
- Generate recurring reports on key metrics to inform and support strategic
decision or solutions.
- Identify recurring fulfillment and service issues and
collaborate with teams to implement solutions.
- Support and drive continuous process
improvements to enhance fulfillment workflows and partner
satisfaction.

Who You Are
- Bachelor’s
degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience
in healthcare operations, workflow optimization, or process improvement
- pharmacy
fulfillment operations preferred
- Demonstrated success in
identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable cross-functional
solutions.
- Strong analytical and organizational
skills.
- Basic technical knowledge (e.g., system workflows, ticketing tools, CRM
platforms).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage
multiple tasks with attention to detail and deadlines
- Motivated and driven,
who thrives in a challenging / fast-paced environment
- Frequent and effective
communicator
