About the Role
OpenLoop, a fast
growing healthtech startup serving millions of patients a year, is looking for a
Director of Clinical Recruitment to join our team remotely or
at HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for
leading a team of clinical recruiters dedicated to sourcing, hiring, and
onboarding healthcare providers across specialties and care models (1099, W2,
synchronous/asynchronous). As a key partner to Workforce Management, you’ll
elevate recruiting strategy, enhance systems and workflows, and deliver
actionable data on clinician hiring and hiring pipeline health.

What You'll Do
- Recruit, coach, and develop a team of clinical recruiters to meet
ambitious hiring targets (specialties, coverage ratios, diverse care
levels).
- Partner with Workforce Management and Clinical
Operations Leads to forecast staffing needs aligned with client onboarding and
service expansion.
- Design and maintain recruiting KPIs:
time-to-fill, source-of-hire, offer acceptance rates, pipeline health, and
diversity metrics.
- Provide regular reports and dashboards to
leadership to drive continuous improvements and transparency.
- Lead
process-mapping and optimization across ATS, CRM, EHR integrations, scheduling
systems, and credentialing trackers.
- Implement automations and tech
improvements to advance recruiter efficiency, candidate experience, and
compliance.
- Work with Compliance & Credentialing teams to
ensure licensure coverage, background checks, privileging documentation for
nationwide providers.
- Coordinate with Clinical Ops and Sales
teams to tailor hiring approaches for new and existing clients.
- Align
with Talent Acquisition to attract both contract (1099) and permanent
clinicians.
- Oversee development of clinician outreach materials,
events, webinars, and referral programs to build pipeline across
specialties.
- Ensure onboarding and post-hire engagement support
retention and quality care delivery.

Who
You Are
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree
in HR, Healthcare Administration, or similar preferred.
- 8+
years in healthcare clinical/provider recruiting (telehealth experience
strongly preferred).
- Proven success leading recruiters in
high-volume, distributed hiring environments.
- Strong analytical
skills—experience with reporting, dashboards, forecasting in ATS/WFM
systems.
- Deep understanding of clinician credentialing,
licensure, work models (1099 vs W2), and telehealth regulatory
issues.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and
change leadership capabilities.
- High tech-savvy with
experience driving system/process improvements (ATS, CRM, workflow
automation).
