About the Role
OpenLoop is looking for
a Head of Technical Recruiting to join our team remotely or at
HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying,
engaging, and hiring top technical talent across Engineering, Product, and Data.
This is a strategic individual contributor role that combines deep recruiting
execution with the ability to advise senior leaders on hiring strategy, market
insights, and team design.
You’ll own technical recruiting end-to-end — from
building talent pipelines for niche, high-demand roles to partnering with
executives to shape how we attract, assess, and close world-class talent that
supports the scalability of our digital health platform.
What You'll Do
- Lead and execute full-cycle recruiting for key technical roles across
Engineering, Product, and Data Science.
- Partner with the CTO, CPO, and
other tech leaders to define hiring needs, create role profiles, and design
efficient recruiting strategies.
- Build and maintain strong
pipelines of passive candidates in software engineering, DevOps, product
management, and health data analytics.
- Develop and execute creative
sourcing strategies using LLM tools, networking, events, and direct
outreach.
- Partner with hiring managers to calibrate on talent
quality, technical assessments, and interview best practices.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects our mission and
values.
- Advise leadership on offer strategy, technical market
trends, and compensation benchmarks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally
with People Ops, HR, and hiring teams to ensure a seamless recruiting process
and onboarding experience.
- Track and report key metrics on hiring
velocity, candidate quality, and funnel performance.
- Continuously refine our technical recruiting playbook and tools as we
scale.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science,
Communications or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in
recruiting, with 4+ years focused on technical or product recruiting in
high-growth tech or digital health environments.
- Proven
ability to engage, evaluate, and close senior-level technical talent (e.g.,
Engineering Leaders, Product Managers, Architects).
- Strong
understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate effectively with
engineers and product leaders.
- Experience using sourcing
tools, CRMs, and data-driven recruiting platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust
and influence at the executive level.
- Comfort operating autonomously
in a fast-moving, scaling company — strategic thinker with a builder
mindset.
- Deep curiosity about technology, innovation, and
healthcare transformation.
