Federal Funding to Support Nurse, Rural Public Health Telehealth Training

A recent grant given from HRSA has provided South Dakota-based Avera Health with $2.5 million to support the nursing and rural public health workforce through telehealth and virtual care training. This funding will support several projects involving training on telehealth, telemetry monitoring, virtual nursing, and cultural awareness.

Clinical Trial to Assess Efficacy of Virtual Alcohol Use Disorder Treatment

The National Institute of Medicine granted $2 million to Ria Health in partnership with Stanford University to test the efficacy of their virtual treatment platform to reduce problem drinking and its effect on the liver.
