Our history

Dr. Jon Lensing and Christian Williams founded OpenLoop in 2020 with a vision to bring care anywhere.

Growing up in rural Iowa, Lensing saw firsthand the challenges created by limited healthcare access. His father, the only local OBGYN, regularly treated patients who traveled hours for care. That experience helped shape Lensing's drive to build more accessible, personalized ways for patients to receive healthcare.

Since then, OpenLoop has grown into one of the leading infrastructure providers powering virtual care programs across the country — now supporting 300+ organizations nationwide, with the network growing 5x year-over-year in 2025.
